Abstract
The implementation of M-health systems for the improvement of health systems services is a scientific and technological challenge. The prevention, diagnosis and treatment of these chronic non-communicable diseases constitute an indisputable challenge for medical personnel. Telecommunications and information technology contribute significantly to this task. The systems and applications of mobile health (m-health) are designed, as a whole, to carry out one or more tasks of the aforementioned. This work is dedicated to conducting a review of the m-health interoperability standards. A deepening of the HL7 FHIR architecture is performed, in addition to the associated standards and protocols. Some of the applications that currently exist and their potential are also shown. Finally, an analysis is made of the fundamental challenges and perspectives that mhealth applications and systems have for the near future.
Resumen
La implementación de sistemas de M-health, para el perfeccionamiento de los servicios del sistemas de salud es un reto científico y tecnológico. La prevención, diagnóstico y tratamiento de estas enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles constituyen un reto indiscutible para el personal médico. Las telecomunicaciones y la informática contribuyen de manera trascendental en esta tarea. Los sistemas y aplicaciones de salud móvil (m-health) se diseñan, en su conjunto, para realizar una o varias tareas de las antes mencionadas. Este trabajo se dedica a realizar una revisión de los estándares de interoperabilidad m-health. Se realiza una profundización en la arquitectura FHIR de HL7, además de los estándares y protocolos asociados. También se muestran algunas de las aplicaciones que existen en la actualidad y sus potencialidades. Por último se realiza una análisis de los retos y perspectivas fundamentales que tienen las aplicaciones y sistemas mhealth para el futuro cercano.
