La presente investigación fue realizada en el Hotel Playa Cayo Santa María, con el objetivo de desarrollar un procedimiento para conocer el nivel de madurez de la de gestión de riesgo del Control Interno. Para cumplir este propósito se emplearon métodos teóricos y empíricos que integran instrumentos de diversa índole; dentro de los métodos teóricos se destacan el análisis y síntesis de información a partir de la revisión de la literatura especializada, la observación directa, la consulta a expertos en los temas de gestión de riesgos y entrevistas a trabajadores y directivos. Los principales resultados de la investigación se centran en la obtención del nivel de madurez de gestión de riesgos del Control Interno del hotel y la identificación de los riesgos que afectan el funcionamiento de los procesos que resultaron fundamentales.
The present investigation was carried out at the Hotel Playa Cayo Santa María, with the objective of developing a procedure to know the level of maturity of the risk management of Internal Control. To fulfill this purpose, theoretical and empirical methods were used that integrate instruments of various kinds; Within the theoretical methods, the analysis and synthesis of information from the review of specialized literature, direct observation, consultation with experts in risk management issues and interviews with workers and managers stand out. The main results of the investigation are focused on obtaining the risk management maturity level of the hotel's Internal Control, the identification of the risks that affect the operation of the processes that were fundamental, determining its cause and effect for each failure.
