Learning styles and strategies to enhance communicative competence from the perspective of the new policy of foreign languages at the Cuban university

The project "Learning styles and strategies to enhance communicative competence from the perspective of the new policy of foreign languages ​​in the Cuban university" arises from the implementation of the policy to improve foreign languages ​​in Cuban universities. The general objective refers to develop a didactic-methodological system of learning styles and strategies to enhance communicative competence from the perspective of the new policy of foreign languages in the Cuban university. Studies about styles and learning strategies have a tradition in the field of psychological and pedagogical sciences. Dissimilar research projects have been done, the results of which appear in theses of bachelor's, master's, and doctorate. A mixed methodology will be used for a better approach to the study of the problem of research and its focus based on the dialectical-materialist method. About the expected results: Diagnosis of the real state of learning styles and strategies to enhance communicative competence in foreign languages. Didactic-methodological system of learning styles and strategies to enhance the communicative competence from the perspective of the new language policy in the Cuban University in the levels Below A1 and A1-A2 aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages ​​(CEFR) in the Language Center of the UCLV, University of Cienfuegos and Spanish for foreigners.
