Methodological activities to prepare teachers for the integration of content in Early Childhood

Abstract

Teacher preparation constitutes a very important line of work to face the challenges of Education. In Cuba, specifically in Early Childhood, work with dimensions as a structure that the curriculum in improvement assumes requires the educator to take a different look to meet the established demands where the integration of content becomes an essential pillar to achieve maximum comprehensive development. possible for children of these ages. However, applied instruments reveal the following contradiction: on the one hand, the integration of content in the educational process of the dimension constitutes a requirement of the curriculum and, on the other hand, the need for teacher preparation based on the limitations presented to comply with these educational demands. This allows us to pose the following scientific problem: how to promote teacher preparation for the integration of content in the Early Childhood educational process? To solve the problem, the objective is to propose methodological activities that favor the teacher's preparation for the integration of content in the Early Childhood educational process. In its implementation, the different methods of methodological work are used and their effectiveness is verified through a discussion and debate forum where participants express the fulfillment of their expectations and a professional development interview where positive results are achieved. Conclusions are raised in accordance with the research tasks and recommendations are directed towards the generalization of the solution proposal.

Resumen

La preparación del docente constituye una línea de trabajo importantísima para enfrentar los retos de la Educación. En Cuba, específicamente en la Primera Infancia, el trabajo con dimensiones como estructura que asume el currículo en perfeccionamiento exige del educador una mirada diferente para cumplir con las exigencias establecidas donde la integración de contenidos se convierte en un pilar esencial para lograr el máximo desarrollo integral posible de los niños de estas edades. Sin embargo, instrumentos aplicados revelan la siguiente contradicción, por una parte, constituye una exigencia del currículo la integración de contenidos en el proceso educativo de la dimensión y por otra la necesidad de preparación del docente a partir de las limitaciones presentadas para dar cumplimiento a estas exigencias educativas. Esto permite plantear el siguiente problema científico: ¿cómo favorecer la preparación del docente para la integración de contenidos en el proceso educativo de la Primera Infancia? Para dar solución a la problemática se plantea como objetivo proponer actividades metodológicas que favorecen la preparación del docente para la integración de contenidos en el proceso educativo de la Primera Infancia. En su implementación se utilizan las diferentes vías del trabajo metodológico y se comprueba su efectividad a través de un foro de discusión y debate donde los participantes expresan el cumplimiento de sus expectativas y una entrevista de desarrollo profesional donde se alcanzan resultados positivos. Se plantean conclusiones en correspondencia a las tareas de investigación y las recomendaciones se dirigen hacia la generalización de la propuesta de solución.
