Simposio Internacional “Desarrollo Humano, Equidad y Justicia Social"
La ponencia realiza una descripción general de la tradición marxista y socialista en la región latinoamericana, a partir de la periodización establecida por el pensador marxista Michael Löwy y teniendo en cuenta las temáticas fundamentales tratadas por esa forma de marxismo. Se destaca, particularmente, la obra de José Carlos Mariátegui y Ernesto Ché Guevara como representantes cimeros del marxismo latinoamericano auténtico, creador, y su influencia en el marxismo posterior. Se dedica un espacio importante a la significación de la revolución Cubana en el desarrollo del marxismo latinoamericano.
The paper makes a general description of the Marxist and Socialist tradition in the Latin American region, based on the periodization established by the Marxist thinker Michael Löwy and taking into account the fundamental themes treated by this form of Marxism. Particularly noteworthy is the work of José Carlos Mariátegui and Ernesto Ché Guevara as leading representatives of authentic, creative Latin American Marxism and its influence on later Marxism. An important space is dedicated to the significance of the Cuban revolution in the development of Latin American Marxism.
