Resumen
Abstract
Within the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), SDG16, aimed at “Promoting peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, facilitating access to justice for all and creating effective, responsible and inclusive institutions at all levels.” In their research projects and links with society, the working groups made up of teachers and students have carried out numerous actions and scientific activities aimed at promoting, disseminating, training and publishing research and results about alternative methods of conflict resolution (MASC), especially focused on mediation and conciliation, mechanisms that contribute to crime prevention and the development of a culture of peace. The problem that gives rise to this type of study is the need to minimize violence and high levels of conflict as much as possible through peaceful and harmonious mechanisms between people. The objective is to present the results and impacts that the use of mediation and conciliation has on communities or neighborhoods, for which the legal theoretical method, document analysis, among others, are used. The main results constitute a contribution to the theoretical and reflective development on the importance of alternative conflict resolution methods and their contribution to community prevention.
