During the course the following topics will be addressed: Concept and classification of Agroforestry Systems (SAF). Functions that trees play in SAF. Some examples of the interrelationships between trees, crops, grasses and animals. Classification of silvopastoral systems (SSP). Advantages and disadvantages of the use of SSP in cattle farming. In addition, practical activities will be developed for the recognition of forage trees and shrubs, and the design of SSP in livestock agroecosystems.
