 Course content: Characteristics of tropical flora and vegetation; particularities of these natural resources in the Caribbean islands. Flora of Cuba, its main characteristics, causes that determine the high endemism of the flora. Biological invasions, characteristics of invasive plants. Affects to native species and ecosystems due to invasive species. Its particularities in Cuba and driving experiences. Integrated ecological restitution techniques. Study cases. Cuban experience in biodiversity conservation. Role of Botanical Gardens in the conservation of plant diversity. Visit to Protected Areas.
