Summary of content (up to 120 words): The recognition of massive data analysis problems, as well as the study of technologies of the so-called data science, is part of the professional profile of computer scientists and computer scientists in the current context of digital transformation. Specifically, Apache Spark technologies include the machine learning library, of great use to data scientists with knowledge of the Python language, through PySpark. Example-based learning facilitates self-management of knowledge in the development of pipelines to ingest data, describe it, pre-process it, perform feature engineering, and then build evaluated and parameter-tuned classifiers. Visualization is essential in the presentation of data analysis results.

Summary of the professor's CV (up to 250 words): PhD in Technical Sciences (2016), Master in Applied Computing (1997), Full Professor (2017).
