Accessibility to tourist facilities and services, especially for people with disabilities and with reduced mobility, is internationally recognized as a fundamental human right, as well as an excellent business opportunity for any company that develops nature, rural and adventure tourism , combined with catering and lodging services. The Directorate of Conservation and Development of the Sancti Spíritus Flora and Fauna Company, has interpreted this line of thought very well, initiating a diagnosis of the architectural, transport, communication and attitudinal barriers, in the tourist facilities, services and products of the UEBs of this entity, in the municipality of Yaguajay, successively proposing good practices in the value chain of accessible tourism of this company. The research used methods and techniques such as interviews, field trips, cartographic analysis and satellite images, photographic techniques and specialized diagnoses. It is concluded that it is feasible to develop accessible tourism in these entities, after eliminating these barriers, providing new recreational spaces for vulnerable groups, in addition to diversifying the tourist offer of the entity. It is recommended to use these research results in the design of a local development project for accessible tourism in the municipality of Yaguajay and to replicate it in other entities of this company, in the other municipalities of the province of Sancti Spíritus.
La accesibilidad a las instalaciones y servicios turísticos, especialmente de las personas con discapacidades y con movilidad reducida, es reconocido internacionalmente como un derecho humano fundamental, además de ser una excelente oportunidad de negocio, para cualquier empresa que desarrolle el turismo de naturaleza, rural y de aventura, combinado con servicios de restauración y hospedaje. La Dirección de Conservación y Desarrollo de la Empresa Flora y Fauna Sancti Spíritus, ha interpretado muy bien esta línea de pensamiento, iniciando un diagnóstico de las barreras arquitectónicas, del transporte, comunicativas y actitudinales, en las instalaciones, servicios y productos turísticos de las UEBs de esta entidad, en el municipio de Yaguajay, proponiendo sucesivamente, buenas prácticas en la cadena de valores del turismo accesible de esta empresa. En la investigación se utilizaron métodos y técnicas como, entrevistas, recorridos de campo, análisis cartográficos e imágenes satelitales, técnicas fotográficas y los diagnósticos especializados. Se concluye que es viable desarrollar el turismo accesible en estas entidades, luego de eliminar estas barreras, proporcionando nuevos espacios recreacionales para grupos vulnerables, además de diversificar la oferta turística de la entidad. Se recomienda utilizar estos resultados investigativos en el diseño de un proyecto de desarrollo local de turismo accesible en el municipio de Yaguajay y replicarlo en otras entidades de esta empresa, en los demás municipios de la provincia de Sancti Spíritus.
