The subject Electrical Machines and their drives from the E study plan of the Automation Engineering career, according to the opinion of the graduates of the specialty, is one of the most used in their professional practice. In previous courses, the subject was taught using traditional methods without achieving the necessary motivation and with lower results than expected. The objective set out in the experience was to obtain a deeper and more stable mastery of the fundamental principles of the subject. The use of student-centered learning made it possible to achieve significant learning in general in the subject, demonstrated not only by the grades obtained but also by the opinions of the students through a survey carried out.
La asignatura Máquinas Eléctricas y sus Accionamientos del plan de estudios E de la carrera de Ingeniería en Automática, según opinión de los graduados de la especialidad, es una de las más utilizadas en su práctica profesional. En cursos anteriores la asignatura fue impartida utilizando métodos tradicionales sin lograr la motivación necesaria y con resultados inferiores que los esperados. El objetivo planteado en la experiencia fue obtener un dominio más profundo y estable de los principios fundamentales de la temática. La utilización del aprendizaje centrado en el estudiante permitió lograr el aprendizaje significativo en general en la asignatura demostrado no solo por las calificaciones obtenidas sino además por las opiniones de los estudiantes mediante una encuesta realizada.
