Evaluation of the application of FitoMas and Enerplant in sugarcane

Abstract

The phytostimulants FitoMas-E and Enerplant, produced by the Cuban Institute for Research on Sugar Cane Derivatives (ICIDCA) and the company Biotec Internacional S.A de C.V, from Cuba and Mexico, applied individually respectively, have achieved an increase in agricultural yield. The foregoing led to the development of a line of research aimed at the production of a new biostimulant, called FitoMas-Plus, from the mixture in the ICIDCA factory with the objective of Evaluating the application technology of FitoMas-E, Fitomas Plus, Enerplant and their mixtures in the cultivation of sugar cane to increase agricultural yields. The work was carried out in the experimental areas of the Holguín Sugarcane Research Institute located in Guaro, on a chromic Vertisol soil, using the C86-12 cultivar. Six treatments were studied, which were applied with 16 L backpack sprayers, fitted with hollow cone nozzles and a final calibrated solution of 200 L ha-1. The results suggest that the treatments with FitoMas-Plus at a rate of 3.0, 2.5 and 2.0 L ha-1 generated the best results, followed by Fitomas E 4 L ha-1 plus Enerplant 0.052 L ha-1 with 1 application since they reduce application doses with savings in water, fuel, wages and facilitates storage, transport and logistics in a general sense.

Resumen

Los fitoestimulantes FitoMas-E y Enerplant, producidos por el Instituto Cubano de Investigaciones de los Derivados de la Caña de Azúcar (ICIDCA) y la compañía Biotec Internacional S.A de C.V, de Cuba y México, respectivamente aplicados individualmente han alcanzado incremento del rendimiento agrícola. Lo anterior conllevó a desarrollar una línea de investigación encaminada a la producción de un nuevo bioestimulante, denominado FitoMas-Plus, a partir de la mezcla en la fábrica del ICIDCA de los mismos con el objetivo de Evaluar la tecnología de aplicación de FitoMas-E, Fitomas Plus, Enerplant y sus mezclas en el cultivo de la caña de azúcar para incrementar los rendimientos agrícolas. El trabajo se desarrolló en las áreas experimentales del Instituto de Investigaciones de la caña de azúcar de Holguín situado en Guaro, sobre un suelo Vertisol crómico, utilizando el cultivar C86-12. Se estudiaron seis tratamientos, que se aplicaron con mochilas asperjadoras de 16 L, ajustadas con boquillas de cono hueco y solución final calibrada de 200 L ha-1. Los resultados sugieren que los tratamientos con FitoMas-Plus a razón de 3.0, 2.5 y 2.0 L ha-1 generaron los mejores resultados, seguido del Fitomas E 4 L ha-1 más Enerplant 0.052 L ha-1 con 1 aplicación ya que reducen las dosis de aplicación con ahorro de agua, combustible, salario y se facilita el almacenaje, transporte y la logística en sentido general.
