The depth of thesoil and the response of the sugarcane (Saccharumspp.) to the application of fertilizer potassium.

Abstract

Problematic. The service of recommendations of fertilizers and amendments need to know the response of the cultivation from the sugarcane when applying fertilizer potassium in soils with different effective depth.
Objective. To know the response from the sugarcane to the fertilization potassium in soils with different effective depth
Methodology. 224 crops coming from 65 experiments of dose of potassium were used, developed in the main scenarios the sugarcane of Cuba, under unirrigated land conditions they were formed three categories of effective depth<22 cm, not very deep, ≥22 to<40 cm, fairly deep and ≥40 cm, deep, processed statistically with non parametric methods.
Results and Discussion. Was bigger response from the sugarcane to the application of fertilizer potassium when the soils not very deep compared with the biggest depths to this value.
Conclusions. The response of the cultivation of the sugarcane is bigger to smaller effective depth

Resumen

Problemática. El servicio de recomendaciones de fertilizantes y enmiendas necesita conocer la respuesta del cultivo de la caña de azúcar al aplicar fertilizante potásico en suelos con diferente profundidad efectiva.
Objetivo.Conocer la respuesta de la caña de azúcar a la fertilización potásica en suelos con diferente profundidad efectiva
Metodología.Fueron utilizadas 224 cosechas provenientes de 65 experimentos de dosis de potasio, desarrollados en los principales escenarios cañeros de Cuba, en condiciones de secanoSe formaron tres categorías de profundidad efectiva <22 cm, poco profundo, ≥22 a<40 cm, medianamente profundo y≥40 cm, profundo, procesadas estadísticamente con métodos no paramétricos
Resultados y DiscusiónSe encontró mayor respuesta de la caña de azúcar a la aplicación de fertilizante potásico cuando el suelo es poco profundo comparado con las profundidades mayores a este valor.
Conclusiones. La respuesta del cultivo de la caña de azúcar es mayor a menor profundidad efectiva
