Abstract
The present investigation was carried out with the objective of evaluating and monitoring the transformations that the IRES Project has been carrying out in the Cuban agro-productive systems in a municipality highly affected by the consequences of climate change such as Jobabo from the application of agroecological measures that have been transforming farms with low levels of production to more productive, sustainable and resilient farms with the introduction of silvopastoral systems for cattle management with trees that provide shade, protein food and a pleasant climate throughout the year for cattle, raising levels of milk production and the quality of the calves, the measures applied consist of the spacing and selection of trees to leave on the farm such as the carob tree, Guázima, the planting of live posts, protein fodder, production of organic matter from solid waste that are applied to fodder banks, measures that have increased milk production by more than 5900 liters in 2022, the quality of cattle, as well as the insertion of the family in farm work, especially the pillar woman essential part of the family, empowering the gender before society.
Resumen
La presente investigación fue realizada en la finca la Esperanza con el objetivo de evaluar y monitorear las transformaciones que ha venido realizando el Proyecto IRES en los sistemas agroproductivos cubanos en un municipio altamente afectado por las consecuencias del cambio climático como es Jobabo a partir de la aplicación de medidas agroecológicas que han ido transformando las fincas con bajos niveles de producción a fincas más productivas, sostenibles y resilientes con la introducción de sistemas silvopastoriles para el manejo del ganado con árboles que le proporcionan sombra, alimento proteico y un clima agradable durante todo el año al ganado elevando los niveles de producción de leche y la calidad de los terneros, las medidas aplicadas consisten en el espaciamiento y selección de árboles a dejar en la finca como son el algarrobo, Guázima, la siembra de postes vivos, forrajes proteicos, producción de materia orgánica de los desechos sólidos del ganado, que se aplican a los bancos de forraje, medidas que han incrementado la producción de leche en más de 5900 litros en el 2022, la calidad del ganado, así como la inserción de la familia en los trabajos de la finca en especial la mujer pilar esencial de la familia, empoderando al género ante la sociedad.
