Aspects of the design e implementation of de CRIS-UCLV system

Abstract

The great development that Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) have achieved, as well as the advances for digital transformation in Cuba, have a great impact on the research of institutions, especially in universities, where a large volume of information is generated. product of the research developed; therefore, it is necessary to have systems that are capable of handling this information and that add value to the development of science. The present work is aimed at explaining the foundations, characteristics and design of a Research Management Systems (CRIS) that allows providing information on the panorama of research, financing; the experience of the researchers and the collaborations that occur inside and outside the Universidad Central Marta Abreu de Las Villas, at a national and international level. For this, the basic principles of the CRIS are defined; The stages of requirements analysis, design and implementation, the architecture that supports its application, as well as the components that make it up, and the deployment of the system CRIS VIVO are described. The basic aspects of the CRIS-UCLV System installation are described, which summarizes the work carried out in this direction. A system is obtained that makes it possible to manage large volumes of data related to research and researchers at the university with the possibility of being generalized in other contexts.

Resumen

El gran desarrollo que han alcanzado las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones (TIC) así como los avances para la transformación digital en Cuba, tienen gran impacto en la investigación de las instituciones, especialmente en las universidades, donde se genera gran volumen de información producto de las investigaciones desarrolladas; por tanto, es necesario contar con sistemas que sean capaces de manejar esta información y que añadan valor al desarrollo de la ciencia.

El presente trabajo está orientado a explicar los fundamentos, características y el diseño de un Sistemas de Gestión de la Investigación (CRIS) que permite proporcionar información sobre el panorama de la investigación, la financiación; la experiencia de los investigadores y las colaboraciones que se producen dentro y fuera de la Universidad Central Marta Abreu de Las Villas, a nivel nacional e internacional. Para ello se definen los principios básicos de los CRIS; se describen las etapas de análisis de requerimientos, diseño e implantación, la arquitectura que sustenta su aplicación, así como los componentes que lo integran, y el despliegue del sistema CRIS VIVO.
