6th International Conference on Humanistic Studies 2023
Dear colleague:
The Faculty of Humanities of the Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas, an institution of Excellence in Higher Education in Cuba, has the honor to invite you to the VI International Scientific Conference on Humanistic Studies 2023.
This conference is part of the IV International Scientific Convention on Science, Technology and Society (IV CCI) to be held from November 13 to 17, 2023 in the tourist destination Cayo Santa Maria in Villa Clara.
Among the main objectives of the event are to exchange scientific and academic criteria and promote the integration of diverse spheres of humanistic knowledge, disseminate positive experiences and evaluate the challenges and perspectives in the areas of language studies, didactics of foreign languages, art and literature, communication and media practices in the contemporary social and cultural context. To this end, the conference is organized in five workshops, with thematic axes centered on the areas of knowledge covered.

Art, literature, popular culture and mass culture in contemporaneity. Voices and images of the popular in art and literature
Oral literature and its contributions to current social and cultural dynamics

Studies of particular works from Latin America and Cuba in particular

The event will be held in a hybrid format combining face-to-face and virtual modalities.
Nationally and internationally renowned specialists will give keynote lectures and pre-event courses will be offered. They are already confirmed:
