The present investigation was carried out in the period 2019 - 2020. It contains the design of a training program whose objective is to favor the educational function of the educators of the Child Care System. This aspect provides novelty and relevance, taking into account that it has not been worked on at other times. A mixed methodology was used, combining the quantitative and the qualitative, with a preponderance of the latter. Concurrent sampling was used for mixed methods, with several parallel samples. A variety of techniques and instruments were used; documentary, statistical and focus group analysis, among others. For the processing of the information, a content analysis of the main applied techniques that responded to the categories, dimensions and indicators was carried out, thus triangulating the information, based on the proposed objectives. The main results of the study reveal that the work of educators is characterized by difficulties in the implementation of their educational functions, their treatment of adolescents is mediated by prejudices and stereotypes that contribute to reinforcing social stigmas, and educational styles are imposing and authoritarian. . The treatment perceived by adolescents is inadequate; It is characterized by mistreatment, lack of respect and rejection. There is a lack of knowledge and lack of resources in the rest of the institution's staff. Hence, the themes of the program are related to adolescence as a stage, characteristics of the identity of transgressive adolescents, manifestations of social exclusion, psychological techniques and resources.
La presente investigación fue realizada en el periodo 2019 – 2020. Contiene el diseño de un programa de formación cuyo objetivo es favorecer la función educativa de los educadores del Sistema de Atención a Menores. Aspecto este que brinda novedad y pertinencia, teniendo en cuenta que no se ha trabajado en otros momentos. Se utilizó una metodología mixta, combinando lo cuantitativo y lo cualitativo, con preponderancia de este último. Se empleó un muestreo concurrente para métodos mixtos, con varias muestras paralelas. Se emplearon variedad de técnicas e instrumentos; análisis documental, estadístico y grupo focal, entre otros. Para el procesamiento de la información se llevó a cabo un análisis de contenido de las principales técnicas aplicadas que respondían a las categorías, dimensiones e indicadores, triangulando de esta manera la información, en función de los objetivos propuestos. Los principales resultados del estudio develan que el trabajo de los educadores se caracteriza por presentar dificultades en la implementación de sus funciones educativas, su trato a los adolescentes está mediatizado por prejuicios y estereotipos que contribuyen a reforzar estigmas sociales y los estilos educativos son impositivos y autoritarios. El tratamiento que perciben los adolescentes es inadecuado; se caracteriza por malos tratos, faltas de respeto y rechazo. Existe carencia de conocimientos y falta de recursos en el resto del personal de la institución. De ahí que los temas del programa se relacionan con la adolescencia como etapa, características de la identidad de adolescentes transgresores, manifestaciones de exclusión social, técnicas y recursos psicológicos.
