Abstract
The social representation of black women constitutes an object of analysis for psychological sciences, determined by the set of practices oriented towards communication, understanding and mastery of the environment in which these subjects are framed in memory. The social representation of black women is thus constructed from their own interpretation, in a sociocultural context linked to the development and ethical commitment of men, with a long history of exploitation and colonial traditions in the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. Its approach in this work recognizes the contributions provided by studies on social subjectivities and the reflections that have been given in Cuba regarding racial problems, to identify social representations of black women that are built on historical-cultural foundations; and serve basis for the development of psychosocial interventions.
Resumen
La representación social de la mujer negra constituye un objeto de análisis para las ciencias psicológicas, determinado por el conjunto de prácticas orientadas hacia la comunicación, comprensión y dominio del entorno en que se enmarca a estos sujetos en la memoria. La representación social de la mujer negra se construye así desde su propia interpretación, en un contexto sociocultural vinculado al desarrollo y compromiso ético de los hombres, con una larga historia de explotación y tradiciones coloniales en los países de América Latina y el Caribe. Su abordaje en el presente trabajo reconoce los aportes que brindan los estudios sobre subjetividades sociales y las reflexiones que en Cuba se han dado entorno a la problemática racial, para identificar representaciones sociales de la mujer negra que se construyen sobre fundamentos histórico-culturales, y sirvan de base para el desarrollo de intervenciones psicosociales.
