The participation of the subjects in the pedagogical activity is an essential condition to promote educational processes from democracy and social justice focused on the recognition of the educational diversity of the student body. The main transformations caused by the Third Improvement of the Educational System in Cuba, promote the development of an educational process that addresses the social problems present in school institutions, based on the harmonization of individual interests with the goals of social development. The recognition of diversity in this context constitutes one of the central elements of the transformations derived from the improvement process for Basic and Higher Secondary Education. Hence, the work presented is aimed at: Reflecting on attention to educational diversity as a component of democracy and social justice in the Third Improvement of the Educational System in Cuba

Las principales transformaciones,originadasporel Tercer Perfeccionamiento del Sistema Educativo en Cuba,promueven el desarrollo de un proceso educativo quehace frente alas problemáticassocialesque están presentes en las instituciones escolares,a partir de la armonización de los intereses individualescon las metas del desarrollo social.El reconocimiento de la diversidad,en este contexto,constituye uno de los elementos centrales de las transformaciones derivadas del proceso de perfeccionamiento para la Educación MediaBásica y Media Superior. De ahí,queeltrabajoque se presentaesté dirigido a: Reflexionar sobre la atención a la diversidad educativa como componente de la democracia y la justicia social en el Tercer Perfeccionamiento del Sistema Educativo en Cuba.
