International Symposium Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) 2021
Abstract
The panel presents some educational initiatives
and projects for the improvement of the teaching and learning of English
language, that have been developed by the British Council in the Americas in
cooperation with local institutions, with a focus on the case of Cuba. In
addition, it presents the experiences of some collaborators from the Cuban Ministries
of Education and Higher Education, as well as from professional associations,
in the development of some of these projects with a prospective look at the new
challenges and opportunities to come.
Resumen
El panel aborda iniciativas y proyectos educativos para el perfeccionamiento de la enseñanza del inglés que ha desarrollado el Consejo Británico en la región de las Américas en colaboración con instituciones propias de la región, con énfasis en el caso cubano. Presenta, además, experiencias de colaboradores de los Ministerios de Educación y Educación Superior de Cuba, así como de asociaciones profesionales, en el desarrollo varios de estos proyectos con una mirada prospectiva a nuevos retos y oportunidades que se presentan.
