Strategic communication in the university management of the Higher Education Institutions of Cuba. Analysis of the context at the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas

This research analyzes strategic communication in university management at the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas (UCLV). For the development of the study, the bibliographic-documentary method and its respective bibliographic-documentary review technique are used. From a qualitative perspective, the object of study is analyzed with a broad vision and a comprehensive approach. The theoretical-practical assumptions for the development of strategic communication in university management and the processes of Higher Education Institutions in Cuba are presented. The results obtained make it possible to determine the characteristics of communication management at the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas from the analysis of the governing documents (normative and strategic) of the Ministry of Higher Education.

Esta investigación analiza la comunicación estratégica en la gestión universitaria de la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas (UCLV). Para el desarrollo del estudio se emplea el método bibliográfico-documental y su respectiva técnica de revisión bibliográfico-documental. Desde una perspectiva cualitativa se analiza el objeto de estudio con una visión amplia y un enfoque integral. Se presentan los presupuestos teórico-prácticos para el desarrollo de la comunicación estratégica en la gestión universitaria y los procesos de las Instituciones de Educación Superior en Cuba. Los resultados obtenidos permiten determinar las características de la gestión de comunicación en la Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas a partir del análisis de los documentos rectores (normativos y estratégicos) del Ministerio de Educación Superior.
