International Symposium Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) 2021
The Bachelor of Agricultural Education must be prepared to lead the Technical and Professional Education Process of the specialty. This process has gone through different stages in the history of Cuba. That is why the present work aims to propose a study program on the history of the teaching of Agronomy in Cuba. The investigation was made in Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Universidad Central ¨Marta Abreu¨ de Las Villas. As a sample, they took the 2nd year group of the Course by Meeting of the Degree in Agricultural Education. The applied diagnosis showed the ignorance of the students about the development of the teaching of agronomy. In addition, through the instrument applied it was possible to determine the interests they had on this subject. A study program on the history of agronomy teaching was developed and offered as an optional subject for the academic year. The content of the program was organized into three themes: The teaching of agronomy in Cuba in the colonial and neocolonial period and the Revolution in power. A survey was applied to the students of the group to evaluate the partial results of the implementation of the subject program. The students expressed their acceptance of the content of the subject and highlighted its importance for their future professional work.
El Licenciado en Educación Agropecuaria debe estar preparado para dirigir el Proceso de Educación Técnica y Profesional de la especialidad. Este proceso ha transitado por diferentes etapas en la historia de Cuba. Es por ello que el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo proponer un programa de estudio sobre la historia de la enseñanza de la Agronomía en Cuba. El trabajo se desarrolló en la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias de la Universidad Central ¨Marta Abreu¨ de Las Villas. Se utilizó como muestra el grupo de 2do año del Curso por Encuentro de la Carrera Licenciatura en Educación Agropecuaria. El diagnóstico aplicado arrojó el desconocimiento de los estudiantes sobre el desarrollo de la enseñanza de la agronomía. Además, mediante el instrumento aplicado se pudo determinar los intereses que sobre esta temática poseían. Se elaboró un programa de estudio sobre la historia de la enseñanza de la agronomía que se ofertó como una asignatura optativa para el año. El contenido del programa se organizó en tres temas: La enseñanza de la agronomía en Cuba en el período colonial, neocolonial y la Revolución en el poder. Se aplicó una encuesta a los estudiantes del grupo para evaluar los resultados parciales de la puesta en práctica del programa de la asignatura. Los estudiantes manifestaron la aceptación del contenido de la asignatura y destacaron la importancia para su futura labor profesional.
