Announcement

The Faculty of Physical Culture of the Central  University “Marta Abreu” of Las Villas, calls for the IV edition of the International Symposium “Physical Activity, Sports and Recreation” within the framework of the V International Scientific Convention on Science, Technology and Society.

Students, academics, researchers, professionals, public policy makers and national and foreign businessmen linked to the sciences of Physical Culture may participate.

It will be based in the tourist destination Cayo Santa María, Villa Clara, Cuba. On the days from October 20 to 24, 2025.

Objective

Promote the exchange of experiences and scientific results in physical activity and sport for sustainable development and human improvement.

Participation Modalities

Keynote lectures, presentations, free topics, panels, digital posters, workshops, presentation of books and magazines related to the topics raised.

Hybrid form of participation:
In person or Virtual.

Presentation languages:
Spanish and English.

Deadline:

•   Abstracts must be submitted before:
May 20, 2025

•  Reception of presentations:
July 22, 2025

•  Confirmation of acceptance of works:
September 10, 2025

•  Final delivery of works:
September 15, 2025

• The training and improvement of physical activity and sports professionals.

• Sciences applied to physical activities and sports. Current challenges for human development.

• Neuromotor skills, stimulation and human development.

• Physical activity, Fitness and Health.

• Quality of life and aging.

• Physical rehabilitation: SPA, spa and massage.

• Therapeutic and prophylactic physical activity.

• Physical activity and sport: gender and social inclusion.

Rules for writing presentations:

Presentations must be sent in digital format (Word or PDF), written in Times New Roman font, 12 points, letter size paper and 2.5 cm margins on each side. Justified alignment of paragraphs and maximum length of 15 pages, including annexes.

They will be uploaded to the Convention website (https://convencion.uclv.cu/es/event/iv-simposio-internacional-actividad-fisica-deporte-y-recreacion-2025-deporte-2025-289/track_proposal), according to the templates proposals on the page. The works will be received in Spanish and English. The title, summary and keywords will be in the same language as the work. In the case of Spanish, you must add the English translation of these three elements. And works presented in English will attach these aspects in Spanish.
