Summary
The transformations taking place in the English Language discipline with the Third Improvement of the plans and programs of the National Education System, as well as the alignment with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, have implied challenges for both teachers and students. In this regard, the treatment of the pronunciation of the third person singular of the simple present tense in English represents a significant challenge for both teachers and students. The study aims to the following scientific problem: How to promote the treatment of the pronunciation of the third person singular simple present tense in English among 10th grade students at the IPU "Osvaldo Herrera González"? And as an objective, to propose a system of didactic activities for the treatment of the pronunciation of the third person singular simple present tense in English among 10th grade students at the IPU "Osvaldo Herrera González". The research assumes quantitative and qualitative approaches as methodology. A system of teaching activities is designed to address the pronunciation of the third person singular present simple tense in English among 10th grade students, which is characterized by its flexibility, hierarchy, dynamism, and contextualization. The proposal was evaluated by specialists, and 100% of the participants rated its applicability as highly appropriate. The proposal was validated in practice using a pre-experimental design, and a Wilcoxon test was applied, reflecting a 95% significance level between the before-and-after results.
Resumen
Las transformaciones que tienen lugar en la disciplina Idioma Inglés con el III Perfeccionamiento de los planes y programas del Sistema Nacional de Educación, así como la alineación al Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas, ha implicado reto tanto para docentes como para estudiantes. En este referente, el tratamiento a la pronunciación de la tercera persona del singular del presente simple en inglés representa un desafío significativo tanto para docentes como para estudiantes. El estudio tiene como problema científico: ¿Cómo propiciar el tratamiento a la pronunciación de la tercera persona del presente simple del singular del inglés en los estudiantes del 10mo grado del IPU "Osvaldo Herrera González"? Y como objetivo proponer un sistema de actividades didácticas para el tratamiento a la pronunciación de la tercera persona del presente simple del singular del inglés en los estudiantes del 10mo grado del IPU "Osvaldo Herrera González". La investigación asume como metodología métodos del enfoque cuantitativo y del enfoque cualitativo. Se diseña un sistema de actividades didácticas para el tratamiento a la pronunciación de la tercera persona del presente simple del singular del inglés en los estudiantes del 10mo grado que se carácteriza por su flexibilidad, jerarquía, dinamismo y contextualización. La propuesta fue valorada mediante el criterio de especialistas y el 100% valoraron su Aplicabilidad de Muy Adecuado. La propuesta fue validada en la práctica mediante un diseño pre experimental y se aplicó un Test de Wilcoxon reflejando un 95% de significatividad entre al antes y el después.
