Abstract
This paper analyzes the efficiency of tax collection in the municipalities of Villa Clara during 2024. First, it contextualizes the importance of tax management in financing services and infrastructure, highlighting the relationship between collection efficiency, economic growth, and improvements in public policies. The methodology is descriptive and analytical, based on the analysis of official data from the National Tax Administration (ONAT) and the Ministry of Public Prosecution (MFP), as well as a review of international and national tax collection records. The results show an increase in tax collection, although challenges such as a low tax culture and economic informality persist. Finally, it highlights the need to strengthen tax management and proposes improvements in public policies that contribute to promoting economic development and strengthening tax administration.
Resumen
En el presente trabajo se analiza la eficiencia en la recaudación de impuestos en los municipios de Villa Clara durante 2024. Primeramente, se contextualiza la importancia de la gestión tributaria para financiar servicios e infraestructura, destacando la relación entre eficiencia recaudatoria, crecimiento económico, mejoras en políticas pública. La metodología es, de tipo descriptivo-analítico, basada en el análisis de datos oficiales de la ONAT y el MFP, así como en la revisión de antecedentes internacionales y nacionales sobre recaudación fiscal. Los resultados evidencian un incremento en la recaudación, aunque persisten desafíos como la baja cultura tributaria y la informalidad económica. Finalmente, se resalta la necesidad de fortalecer la gestión fiscal y proponen mejoras en políticas públicas que contribuyan a fomentar el desarrollo económico y fortalecer la administración tributaria.
