Abstract
In the new economic scenario, companies cannot exist to survive, but to be successful. That is why accreditation has become a necessity of the first order. Taking this premise into account, it is intended that the biological laboratory of the Center for Chemical Bioactives (CBQ), under the scope of an integrated management system, demonstrates that it operates competently and generates valid results. The objective of this research is to assess compliance with the standards established for the accreditation of the toxicity bioassay service with Lactuca sativa L. seeds at the CBQ. The diagnosis of the degree of compliance with the requirements of the regulations applicable to the bioassay service, was conceived from the analysis of each of the stages of the service process to the identification and processing of the problems that prevent the accreditation of the test service; For this, tools such as blueprinting, the checklist and the Pareto diagram were used. Of a total of 286 evaluated requirements, 97 (34%) were not met, which were mainly related to requirements related to: test service process, elements of the management system, impartiality and confidentiality. In addition, an action plan was drawn up to solve the unfulfilled requirements that represent the largest percentage of the problems that prevent the start of the accreditation process
Resumen
En el nuevo escenario económico las empresas no pueden existir para sobrevivir, sino para tener éxito. Es por ello que la acreditación se ha convertido en una necesidad de primer orden. Teniendo en cuenta esta premisa, se pretende que el laboratorio biológico del Centro de Bioactivos Químicos (CBQ), bajo el alcance de un sistema de gestión integrado, demuestre que opera de forma competente y genera resultados válidos. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo evaluar el cumplimiento de las normas establecidas para la acreditación del servicio de bioensayo de toxicidad con semillas de Lactuca sativa L. en el CBQ. El diagnóstico del grado de cumplimiento de los requisitos de las regulatorias aplicables al servicio de bioensayo, estuvo concebido desde el análisis de cada una de las etapas del proceso de servicio hasta la identificación y procesamiento de los problemas que impide la acreditación del servicio de ensayo; para ello se utilizaron herramientas como: el blueprinting, la lista de chequeo y el diagrama de Pareto. De un total de 286 requisitos evaluados se incumplieron 97 (34 %), los cuales se relacionaron fundamentalmente con requisitos relativos a: proceso del servicio de ensayo, elementos del sistema de gestión, imparcialidad y confidencialidad. Además, se confeccionó un plan de acción para darle solución a los requisitos incumplidos que representan el mayor porcentaje de los problemas que impiden el inicio del proceso de acreditación.
