Abstract
One of the species of greatest interest worldwide today is Jatropha gossypifolia, whose roots, stems, leaves, seeds have been widely used in traditional medicine. The objective of this research is to design a survey for the ethnobotanical study of the Jatropha gossypifolia species in the central region of Cuba. For this, a bibliographic search of the traditional uses of the species was carried out and a survey was designed and validated for the ethnobotanical study in the central region of Cuba. Finally, the validity and reliability of the survey designed with a view to the ethnobotanical study of the species was demonstrated
Resumen
A nivel mundial la práctica de la medicina tradicional se ha desarrollado dentro de las diferentes culturas. Una de las plantas que ha aumentado en interés en la actualidad es la Jatropha gossypifolia L. Cuyas raíces, tallos, hojas y semillas han sido ampliamente utilizados en la medicina tradicional. El objetivo de la presente investigación es diseñar una encuesta para el estudio etnobotánico de la especie Jatropha gossypifolia L. En la región central de Cuba. Para ello se realizó una extensa búsqueda bibliográfica de la especie y luego se diseño y válido una encuesta para el estudio etnobotanico en la región central. Finalmente se demostró la validez y confiabilidad de la encuesta diseñada con vistas al estudio etnobotanico de la especie
