EMPODERAMIENTO FEMENINO EN UN PAÍS EN REVOLUCIÓN: LUTGARDA BALBOA EGÜES, PRÁCTICAS SOCIOPOLÍTICAS

he rights of Cuban women throughout history have evolved as a result of a tireless struggle for their demands, and although they have made notable progress in many spheres of performance, politics is not one of them. This article addresses this problem to objectively assess said evolution through the life story of Lutgarda Balboa Egües, from a qualitative methodology, under the phenomenological and interpretive paradigm, based on symbolic interactionism based on the meanings of the sociocultural experience of the supported by evidence from personal testimony, through the biographical method; which was accompanied by information gathering techniques such as interviews with personalities in the field in question from the continuation of a previous investigation carried out by the authors in the preparation of the declaration for its designation as Living Human Treasure and the analysis of content on gender issues from the participation of women in politics. The barriers that existed for women to be inserted in the various occupational spheres of society are evident from the role of women in the political-ideological which was making way for the occupation of management positions in this sphere from a gender perspective the results of which contribute to understanding the Cuban reality and the evolution in this field.

Los derechos de las mujeres cubanas a través de la historia han ido evolucionando como resultado de una incansable lucha por sus reivindicaciones, y aunque han logrado avances notables en muchas esferas de desempeño, la política no es una de ellas. El presente artículo aborda esta problemática para valorar objetivamente dicha evolución por medio de la historia de vida de Lutgarda Balboa Egües, desde una metodología cualitativa, bajo el paradigma fenomenológico e interpretativo, a partir del método biográfico. Se toma como base el interaccionismo simbólico sustentado en evidencias provenientes del testimonio personal, entrevistas a personalidades del ámbito en cuestión y el análisis de contenido sobre la temática de género desde la participación de la mujer en la política. Constituye la continuación de una investigación realizada por los autores en la confección del expediente de declaratoria para la designación como Tesoro Humano Vivo de esta personalidad en la Provincia de Cienfuegos. Se evidencia las barreras existidas para que las féminas se insertaran en las diversas esferas ocupacionales de la sociedad desde el papel de la mujer en lo político-ideológico, la cual fue abriéndose paso para la ocupación de cargos de dirección en esta esfera desde una perspectiva de género cuyos resultados contribuyen a comprender la realidad cubana y la evolución en este terreno.
