The research constitutes an academic approach to one of the experiences of community work developed by the Office of the Conservator of the City of Cienfuegos (OCCC), the Sendas Project, in order to communicate the heritage in the Urban Historic Center, the Popular Council of Reina and Junco Sur. The consideration of this practice has served as the basis for the design of a procedure for the diagnosis of educational-communicative processes by the different actors in these spaces. This is justified by the need to be more effective in the formation of a citizen conscience that contributes to the enhancement of heritage, an essential factor in the preservation of the local and national culture of the peoples.
La investigación constituye un acercamiento académico a una de las experiencias de trabajo comunitario desarrollada por la Oficina del Conservador de la Ciudad de Cienfuegos (OCCC), el Proyecto Sendas, en aras de comunicar el patrimonio en el Centro Histórico Urbano, el Consejo Popular de Reina y Junco Sur. La consideración de dicha práctica ha servido de base al diseño de un procedimiento para el diagnóstico de procesos edu-comunicativos por los diferentes actores en dichos espacios. Ello se justifica en la necesidad de ser más efectivos en la formación de una conciencia ciudadana que contribuya a la puesta en valor del patrimonio, factor esencial en la preservación de la cultura local y nacional de los pueblos.
