Continuous training of the teacher/tutor in the skill of learning to learn in the setting of pedagogical practice

Abstract

The continuous training of university teachers is a need for higher education in the Republic of Angola. The theoretical and practical deficiencies that are detected in this process and the need for the teacher/tutor to become a transformer of the scenario of the pedagogical practice of students in training, lead to the proposal of a continuous training program of the teacher/tutor in the skill of learning to learn. The program is distinguished by the way in which its theoretical bases are structured with an integrative nature, in which the continuous training of the teacher/tutor is conceived in the transition through each of its stages: from initial training, in preparation for employment and in postgraduate education, in a systemic and coherent manner with the characteristics of the Angolan university and whose content, the ability to learn to learn in the scenario of pedagogical practice, gives it uniqueness based on the determination of the criteria and learning sequences. that allow the teacher/tutor to reach a certain level of mastery of this. The program contains the learning sequences of the Pedagogical Practice subject, the learning sequence guides, the postgraduate course and self-preparation guides for the teacher/tutor. It is evaluated through a case study in the context of the Higher Institute of Educational Sciences-Huambo.

Resumen

La formación continua del docente universitario constituye una necesidad de la enseñanza superior de la República de Angola. Las carencias que en el orden teórico y práctico se detectan a este proceso y la necesidad de que el docente/tutor se convierta en un transformador del escenario de la práctica pedagógica de los estudiantes en formación, conducen a la propuesta de un programa de formación continua del docente/tutor en la habilidad aprender a aprender. El programa se distingue por la forma en que se estructuran sus bases teóricas con carácter integrador, en el que se concibe la formación continua del docente/tutor en el tránsito por cada una de sus etapas: desde la formación inicial, en la preparación para el empleo y en la educación postgraduada, de forma sistémica y coherente. con las características de la universidad angolana y cuyo contenido, la habilidad aprender a aprender en el escenario de la práctica pedagógica le otorga singularidad a partir de la determinación de los criterios y secuencias de aprendizaje que permiten al docente/tutor alcanzar un determinado nivel de dominio de esta. El programa contiene las secuencias de aprendizaje de la asignatura Práctica Pedagógica, las guías de secuencias de aprendizaje, el curso de posgrado y guías de autopreparación del docente/tuto. Se evalúa a través de un estudio de casos en el contexto del Instituto Superior de Ciencias de la Educación - Huambo.
