Doctoral training. Results in Educational Sciences

Abstract

• Problem: Doctoral training constitutes one of the variants of postgraduate academic training in the Republic of Cuba, aimed at promoting the permanent education of university graduates. Studies on doctoral training and the results obtained in this regard are currently gaining relevance and relevance at a national and international level and constitute a necessity in order to achieve the quality of said process.

• Objective(s): The objective of the work is to present the results presented in the self-evaluation report of the Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences that is developed at the “Gaspar Jorge García Galló” Education Studies Center of the UCLV, for its accreditation. in November 2022, specifically what is related to variable 1 “Doctor training strategy”

• Methodology: The dialectical-materialist method is assumed in its unity of the theoretical and the empirical, as well as the qualitative and quantitative; Information collection and analysis techniques are used: participant observation, documentary analysis and statistical processing.

• Results and discussion: Based on the evaluations that emerge from the units of analysis determined in the study carried out: Projection and scope of doctoral training, national and international projection of the program, the results achieved by the Program and presented in the self-assessment report of the Accreditation Program in November 2022.

• Conclusions: The experiences presented in the doctoral training process in Educational Sciences at UCLV can be generalized and adapted to other university centers

Resumen

• Problemática: La formación doctoral constituye una de las variantes de formación académica de posgrado en la República de Cuba, dirigida a promover la educación permanente de los graduados universitarios. Los estudios sobre la formación doctoral y los resultados obtenidas al respecto cobran en la actualidad pertinencia y relevancia a nivel nacional e internacional y constituyen una necesidad en aras de lograr la calidad de dicho proceso.

• Objetivo(s): El trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar los resultados expuesto en el informe de autoevaluación del Programa de doctorado en Ciencias de Educación que se desarrolla en el Centro de Estudios de Educación “Gaspar Jorge García Galló de la UCLV, para su acreditación en noviembre 2022, específicamente lo relacionado con la variable 1 ¨Estrategia de formación de doctores ¨

• Metodología: Se asume el método dialéctico-materialista en su unidad de lo teórico y lo empírico, así como lo cualitativo y cuantitativo; se emplean técnicas de recogida y análisis de información: observación participante, el análisis documental y el procesamiento estadístico

• Resultados y discusión: A partir de las valoraciones que emergen de las unidades de análisis determinadas en el estudio realizado: Proyección y alcance de la formación doctoral, proyección nacional e internacional del programa, se ofrecen los resultados alcanzados por el Programa y presentados en el informe de autoevaluación del Programa para la Acreditación en noviembre del 2022.

• Conclusiones: Las experiencias presentadas en el proceso de formación doctoral en Ciencias de la Educación en la UCLV,se pueden generalizar y adaptar a otros centros universitarios.
