Socio-emotional education as part of the initial training of the university professional.

Abstract

At present, socio-emotional education is being implemented in most schools and colleges, more and more research is increasing due to the benefit and change that it generates in the lives of students. Thanks to their knowledge, the peaceful solution of interpersonal and intergroup conflicts is favored, a better academic and personal lifestyle is maintained, generating teacher-student confidence to overcome obstacles present in daily life, improve self-esteem and create self-confidence. When the initial training curricula are analyzed in the different university careers, it can be seen that generally, the topic of Socio-Emotional Education is dealt with in the curriculum, in careers that have to do with a psychological profile, however, the integrality, the training comprehensive and in it the socio-emotional education of young university students, is the training objective of all careers.

Hence; the presentation intends to reveal the importance and need to create a strategy for socio-emotional education in the initial training of university students of the Law career at the Technical University in Ecuador, since every student first deserves to have an education fixed to their personal well-being, in order to be able to apply to the rest of society, the professionalism that characterizes him in his training.

Resumen

En la actualidad, la educación socio emocional se está implementando en la mayoría de escuelas y colegios, cada vez son más las investigaciones que se incrementan debido al beneficio y cambio que ésta genera en la vida de los estudiantes. Gracias a su conocimiento se favorece la solución pacífica de conflictos interpersonales e intergrupales, se mantiene un mejor estilo de vida académico y personal, generando confianza docente-estudiante para superar obstáculos presentes en la vida diaria, mejorar la autoestima y crear seguridad en sí mismo. Cuando se analizan los currículos de formación inicial en las distintas carreras universitarias, se puede apreciar que generalmente, el tema de Educación Socioemocional es tratado en el currículo, en carreras que tienen que ver con un perfil psicológico (Ortiz, 2022), sin embargo, la integralidad, la formación integral y en ella la educación socioemocional de los jóvenes universitarios, es objetivo formativo de todas las carreras.

De ahí que; la ponencia tiene como intención revelar la importancia y necesidad de expresar algunas ideas esenciales desde una concepción desarrolladora de la educación, que pueden sustentar una estrategia para la educación socioemocional en la formación inicial de estudiantes universitarios de la carrera de Derecho en la Universidad Técnica en Ecuador pues, todo estudiante merece primeramente poseer una educación fija a su bienestar personal, para así, poder aplicar al resto de la sociedad, el profesionalismo que lo caracteriza en su formación.
