The present research characterizes, from a qualitative perspective, the discourse of scientific journalism in the magazine «Juventud Técnica» during the years 2020 and 2021, a time frame influenced by the confrontation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Bibliographic-documentary and discourse analysis methods are applied, as well as the techniques of bibliographic-documentary review and semi-structured interview to experts, specialists and managers of the press media. A corpus of 21 works selected by means of a non-probabilistic intentional sampling design according to the researcher's criteria is studied. The results show that the scientific journalism texts in the unit of analysis meet the conditions of this specialized exercise. The discursive structures of the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic levels are constructed according to the journalistic genre and the communicative purpose, and the context influences the conformation of the message. The incidence of the new coronavirus is evident, which in several cases generates publications entirely dedicated to the subject in correspondence with the particularities of the health discourse.
La presente investigación caracteriza, desde la perspectiva cualitativa, el discurso del periodismo científico en la revista «Juventud Técnica» durante los años 2020 y 2021, marco temporal influenciado por el enfrentamiento a la pandemia de COVID-19. Se aplican los métodos bibliográfico-documental y análisis del discurso, así como las técnicas de revisión bibliográfico-documental y entrevista semiestructurada a expertos, especialistas y directivos de los medios de prensa. Se estudia un corpus de 21 trabajos, seleccionados mediante un diseño muestral no probabilístico intencional por criterio del investigador. Los resultados evidencian que los textos del periodismo científico en la unidad de análisis cumplen las condiciones de este ejercicio especializado. Las estructuras discursivas de los niveles sintáctico, semántico y pragmático se construyen en apego al género periodístico y la finalidad comunicativa, y el contexto influye en la conformación del mensaje. Se aprecia la incidencia del nuevo coronavirus, que en varios casos genera publicaciones dedicadas íntegramente al tema en correspondencia con las particularidades del discurso de la salud.
