Contemporary pedagogical processes around the world, and Cuba's general and graduate education systems, consider language teaching to tourism workers as an international, specialized, and qualitatively autonomous area of study, given their capacity to develop their own inquiries and address scientific problems with novelty and effectiveness. The topic of this presentation focuses on the joint non-program-associated project "Project-Based Learning and Task-Based Learning" of the Tourism Training Center and the University of Pinar del Rio, along with other institutes and academic centers in western Cuba. It contributes to overcoming limited vocabulary, incoherence, poor fluency, and other difficulties in order to achieve communication skills and foster optimal intercultural competencies by efficiently fulfilling professional responsibilities in the sector. The aim is to share among educational and productive institutions, both state, cooperative, and private, their approaches and experiences accumulated over fifteen years of managing challenges and achieving practical impact in the practice of foreign language teaching. It uses historical, systemic, analytical-synthetic, hermeneutic, and inductive-deductive research methods. The results show advantages in the assimilation of the proposed objectives among students who consciously prioritized the epistemological and cultural knowledge of the languages they study over those who remained with traditional linguistic and instructional systems. The conclusions establish strategies that harmoniously contribute to a relationship of direct proportionality between the three categories addressed.
Los procesos pedagógicos contemporáneos en el mundo y los sistemas de educación general y de postgrado en Cuba, consideran la enseñanza de idiomas a los trabajadores del turismo como un área de estudio internacional, especializada y cualitativamente autónoma por su capacidad de elaborar indagaciones propias y enfrentar con novedad y eficacia sus problemas científicos. El tema de esta ponencia se centra en el Proyecto conjunto No Asociado a Programa “Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos y Aprendizaje Basado en Tareas” del Centro de Capacitación del Turismo y la Universidad de Pinar del Rio junto a otros institutos y centros académicos del occidente del país. Tributa a la superación de vocabularios escasos, incoherencia, poca fluidez y otras dificultades para lograr habilidades comunicativas y fomento de competencias interculturales óptimas al ejecutar con calidad las responsabilidades profesionales del sector. Se propone socializar entre instituciones docentes y del área productiva, tanto estatal, cooperativo como privado; sus enfoques y experiencias acumuladas durante quince años de gestionar desafíos e impactar con efectos prácticos en el ejercicio de la didáctica de lenguas extranjeras. Recurre a métodos de investigación histórico, sistémico, analítico sintético, hermenéutico e inductivo deductivo. Los Resultados reconocen ventajas en la asimilación de los objetivos propuestos en los alumnos que priorizaron a consciencia el conocimiento epistemológico y cultural de las lenguas que estudian sobre los que permanecieron con los sistemas lingüísticos e instructivos tradicionales. En las Conclusiones establece estrategias que tributen con armonía hacia una relación de proporcionalidad directa entre las tres categorías abordadas.
