A tool Implementation to monitor the activity of Catalytic Reforming Catalyst of Cienfuegos Refinery Unit.

Abstract

ABSTRACT
The present work consisted of developing and implementing a tool for monitoring the activity of the reforming Catalyst at the Cienfuegos Refinery with the aim of estimating the end of the operating cycle and better planning of regeneration. To achieve the objective, the methods and indicators referred to in the literature were applied; mathematical models were generated and the methodology was applied for two years. The results obtained allowed the estimation of the end of the cycle and the planning of the regeneration in June 2021. The application of the tool and the expansion of the research in the use of the daily results obtained in the operational management are recommended.

RESUMEN
El presente trabajo consistió en desarrollar e implementar una herramienta para el Seguimiento de la actividad del Catalizador de reformación en la Refinería Cienfuegos con el objetivo de estimar el fin del ciclo de operación y una mejor planificación de la regeneración. Para la concreción del objetivo se aplicaron los métodos e indicadores referidos en la literatura; se generaron modelos matemáticos y se aplicó la metodología durante dos años. Los resultados obtenidos permitieron la estimación del fin del ciclo y la planificación de la regeneración en junio de 2021. Se recomienda la aplicación de la herramienta y ampliar la investigación en el uso de los resultados diarios obtenidos en la gestión operacional.
