Abstract
Low carbon (LC3) plant of UCLV has advanced automation devices like PLC and HMI (both from Schneider technology). Nevertheless its operation is completely manual made and there is no appropriate instrumentation to achieve automation. The present research report describes the analysis of the instrumentation available in the plant, mainly in the calcining kiln, and the proposal of transducers needed to improve its operation.
Resumen
La planta de cemento de bajo Carbono (LC3) de la UCLV cuenta con
medios técnicos de automatización de avanzada, entre los que pueden citarse un PLC y
un HMI Schneider. A pesar de ello, su operación es completamente manual y no se
dispone de la instrumentación apropiada para el logro de un funcionamiento
automatizado. En el presente trabajo se describe el proceso de análisis de la
instrumentación disponible en la planta, con énfasis en el horno, y la propuesta de
transductores realizada con vistas a mejorar su actividad.
