The objective of the study was to unveil racial prejudices as contents of raciality that reproduce the contradiction between racial equality and inequality in adolescents in secondary education, using a qualitative approach with a constructive-interpretative methodology. The sample consisted of 481 students (12 to 15 years old) from various racial groups. Two qualitative questionnaires were used, analyzed with the Atlas.Ti 9
tool, applying open and axial coding techniques. The findings revealed the existence of dynamics that reflect both equality and inequality among adolescents, manifested through prejudice and discriminatory behaviors. This suggests that, despite the openness towards diversity, simplifications and categorizations persist that affect the understanding of individual identities in this age group.
El estudio tuvo como objetivo develar prejuicios raciales que reproducen la contradicción igualdad-desigualdad racial en adolescentes de la Enseñanza Media, empleando un enfoque cualitativo con metodología constructivo-interpretativa. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 481 estudiantes (12 a 15 años) de diversos grupos raciales. Se utilizaron dos cuestionarios cualitativos, analizados con la herramienta Atlas.Ti 9,
aplicando técnicas de codificación abierta y axial. Los hallazgos revelaron la existencia de dinámicas que reflejan tanto igualdad como desigualdad entre los adolescentes, manifestadas a través de prejuicios y comportamientos discriminatorios. Lo que sugiere que, a pesar de la apertura hacia la diversidad, persisten simplificaciones y categorizaciones que afectan la comprensión de las identidades individuales en este grupo
etario.
