Open science, current challenge of the University of Cienfuegos

Abstract

The information age has resulted in the university being in constant growth, opting for better quality services, to ensure the satisfaction of the university community that advocates for a scientific culture and open education, counting on the implementation of open science in a responsible and excellent practice. The objective of this research is to expose the challenges faced by the University of Cienfuegos “Carlos Rafael Rodríguez” to raise the skills in informational competencies of the university professional regarding the use of open science. The study shows an analysis of the activities and actions launched in the school, evidencing the development that the services provided by the institution will have, it is based on a purely qualitative approach methodology, a documentary analysis of the bibliography consulted is carried out. to establish the theoretical foundations in relation to open science, indicating the need to update the institution's services, benefiting the performance of scientific activity. The inquiry constitutes a contribution to strengthen the actions to be carried out in order to achieve efficient use of the services for the realization and socialization of the science that arises in the university.

Resumen

La era de la información ha traído como consecuencia que la universidad este en constante crecimiento optando por servicios de mejor calidad, para asegurar la satisfacción de la comunidad universitaria que interceda por una cultura científica y una educación abierta contando con la implementación de la ciencia abierta en una práctica responsable y de excelencia. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo exponer los retos que enfrenta la universidad de Cienfuegos “Carlos Rafael Rodríguez” para elevar las habilidades en competencias informacionales del profesional universitario en cuanto al uso de la ciencia abierta. El estudio evidencia un análisis de las actividades y acciones puestos en marcha en la casa de estudios, evidenciando el desarrollo que dispondrán los servicios que brinda la institución,se sustenta en una metodología de enfoque puramente cualitativo, se realiza un análisis documental de la bibliografía consultada para establecer los fundamentos teóricos en relación a la ciencia abierta, indicando la necesidad de actualizar los servicios de la institución, beneficiando el rendimiento de la actividad científica. La indagación constituye un aporte para fortalecer las acciones a efectuar con el fin de lograr un uso eficiente de los servicios para la realización y socialización de la ciencia que surge en la universidad
