The implementation of the Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) and Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) systems at the Labiofam Industrial Complex in Villa Clara would significantly improve wastewater treatment, increasing the efficiency of removing organic matter (BOD₅, COD), nutrients, and suspended solids. While the MBBR offers operational flexibility and lower costs, the MBR guarantees high-quality effluent suitable for reuse, albeit with greater maintenance requirements. Both systems contribute to compliance with environmental regulations and reduce the ecological impact, optimizing the sustainability of the industrial complex.
