Abstract
Problem: Agricultural production in areas of high vulnerability, due to the impacts of adverse hydrometeorological phenomena, requires the establishment of instruments with a comprehensive vision that allows for the prevention and mitigation of risks. The management and availability of timely information through early warning systems and agrometeorological forecasts provide guarantees for food sustainability.
Objective: This was carried out as part of the lessons learned from the Pro-Act project and aims to create an integrated management program that ensures the supply and diversity of agricultural foods directed at Social Protection Networks (RPS) in these coastal municipalities.
Methodology: The tool for analyzing the real demand and supply of agricultural products directed at the RPS (PMA, Cuba, 2024) was applied, which includes qualitative and quantitative analysis instruments.
Results: New capacities for sustainability and integrated management for the diversified supply of agricultural foods directed at the RPS were created. New economic actors were incorporated into the productive chain. The food and nutritional culture in the territories was strengthened. The supply of food groups, fruits (20-58%), grains (61%), and animal protein, to a lesser extent, was expanded.
Conclusions: A capacity program was achieved that establishes a plan of actions for environmental, productive, and financial sustainability. The food and nutritional culture is strengthened, as well as the direct link between productive forms and social protection networks. The value chain is expanded with the supply of food groups such as fruits and grains, with favorable results in the municipality of Remedios.

Problemática: La producción agrícola en zonas de alta vulnerabilidad, debido a afectaciones por fenómenos hidrometeorológicos adversos, requiere del establecimiento de instrumentos con una visión integral que permita la prevención y mitigación de riesgos. El manejo y disponibilidad de información oportuna mediante los sistemas de alerta temprana y pronósticos agrometeorológicos aportan garantía a la sostenibilidad alimentaria.
Objetivo: Se realizó como parte de las lecciones aprendidas en el proyecto Pro-Act y tiene como objetivo crear un programa de gestión integral que permita mantener el suministro y diversidad de alimentos agrícolas dirigido a las Redes de Protección Social (RPS) en dichos municipios costeros.
Metodología: Se aplicó la herramienta de Análisis de demanda y oferta real de productos agrícolas dirigido a las RPS (PMA, Cuba, 2024), que incluye instrumentos de análisis cualitativos y cuantitativos.
Resultados: Creadas nuevas capacidades de sostenibilidad y gestión integral para el suministro diversificado de alimentos agrícolas, dirigidos a las RPS. Incorporados nuevos actores económicos a la cadena productiva. Fortalecida la cultura alimentaria y nutricional en los territorios. Ampliado el suministro de grupos de alimentos, frutas (20-58%), granos (61%) y proteína animal, en menor medida.
Conclusiones: Se logra un programa de capacidades que establece un plan de acciones de sostenibilidad ambiental, productiva y financiera. Se fortalece la cultura alimentaria y nutricional, así como la vinculación directa de las formas productivas y las redes de protección social. Se amplía la cadena de valores con el suministro de grupos de alimentos tales como frutas y granos, con resultados favorables en el municipio Remedios.
