The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence, conflict management styles, and burnout in a population of Cuban university students. A quantitative methodological approach was adopted and a non-experimental design with a correlational approach was implemented. Simple random sampling was used, based on inclusion, exclusion, and exit criteria. The instruments used were the Meta-Mood Questionnaire, the Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory-II, the Perceived Stress Scale, the Burnout Integrative Measure, and the Burnout Assessment Tool. These instruments were administered through a digital survey designed in Google Forms and distributed electronically. The sample consisted of 302 university students, whose responses were processed using SPSS statistical software, version 26.0 for Windows. The results of the research revealed significant correlations between emotional intelligence, conflict management styles, and the development of Burnout Syndrome in Cuban university students.
El propósito de la investigación fue examinar la relación entre la inteligencia emocional, los estilos de gestión de conflictos y el burnout en una población de estudiantes universitarios cubanos. Se adoptó un enfoque metodológico cuantitativo y se implementó un diseño no experimental con alcance correlacional. Se llevó a cabo un muestreo aleatorio simple, probabilístico, basado en criterios de inclusión, exclusión y salida. Los instrumentos empleados fueron el Meta-Mood Questionnaire, las escalas Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory-II, Perceived Stress Scale, Burnout Integrative Measure y el Burnout Assessment Tool. Estos instrumentos se administraron a través de una encuesta digital diseñada en Google Forms y distribuida electrónicamente. La muestra consistió en 302 estudiantes universitarios, cuyas respuestas fueron procesadas utilizando el software estadístico SPSS, versión 26.0 para Windows. Los resultados obtenidos en la investigación revelaron correlaciones significativas entre la inteligencia emocional, los estilos de gestión de conflictos y el desarrollo de Síndrome de Burnout en estudiantes universitarios cubanos.
