The work orients its objective to the analysis of the current conditions for the development of Forensic Psychology in Cuba as a discipline, specifically those that are related to legislative gaps, institutional lack and academic debt. Through the documentary analysis of Cuban standards and publications located in electronic journals of the Infomed Platform, the historical neglect of the discipline and the need to reformulate the legal system due to the lack of recognition and specificity for the performance of Forensic Psychology professionals is demonstrated. The relevance of Forensic Psychology for the Law is examined at the same time that it insists on a training program for the improvement of the application of the evidentiary means. It is concluded that the normative compendium associated with the expert opinion requires modifications that guarantee the absence of legislative gaps discussed in the study, that the scientific support provided by Forensic Psychology strengthens the exercise of Law, and that the historical neglect demonstrated has a solution through integrating ways of professionals and the necessary transit through an educational environment.
El trabajo orienta su objetivo al análisis de las condiciones actuales para el desarrollo de la Psicología Forense en Cuba como disciplina, específicamente aquellas que guardan relación con lagunas legislativas, carencia institucional y deuda académica. Mediante el análisis documental de normas cubanas y publicaciones localizadas en revistas electrónicas de la Plataforma Infomed se demuestra el descuido histórico de la disciplina y la necesidad de reformular el ordenamiento jurídico debido a la falta de reconocimiento y especificidad para la actuación de los profesionales de la Psicología Forense. Se examina la pertinencia de la Psicología Forense para el Derecho al mismo tiempo en que se insiste en un programa formativo para el perfeccionamiento de la aplicación del medio probatorio. Se concluye que el compendio normativo asociado al dictamen pericial requiere de modificaciones que garanticen la ausencia de lagunas legislativas discutidas en el estudio, que el sustento científico aportado por la Psicología Forense fortalece el ejercicio del Derecho, y que el descuido histórico demostrado posee solución a través de vías integradoras de profesionales y el necesario tránsito por un entorno educativo
