INTERCULTURALIDAD Y CIENCIAS EN LA EDUCACIÓN RURAL CUBANA: UNA (OTRA) PERSPECTIVA

Abstract

In this work, an approach is made to the presence of interculturality in science teaching in the context of rural education in Cuba. Arguments are provided for the presentation and justification of the problem, through the use of empirical instruments and bibliographic review. The theoretical gap and the achievements and shortcomings in educational practice are exposed to develop an intercultural approach in science teaching and its importance in rural conditions. The theoretical-conceptual treatment of fundamental variables such as rural education, interculturality, intercultural education and intercultural science education is carried out. With it, some (in)conclusive ideas were achieved, such as that educational work in rural Cuban schools can generate intercultural budgets that allow science teaching that is more in line with the students' reality. It is necessary that we get closer to the reality of the protagonists of the teaching-educational process, with the philosophy of their world. It is a basic condition for awareness and for students and teachers to be active subjects, transformers and critics of their education, of their history. Even though Cuban education works to promote interculturality, the teaching and methodological tools that allow interculturality and science teaching to walk hand in hand in the context of rural education in Cuba appear insufficient. It is necessary to promote intercultural education logic in science teaching from the context of Cuban rural education.

Resumen

En este trabajo se realiza un acercamiento a la presencia que tiene la interculturalidad en la enseñanza de ciencias en el contexto de la educación rural en Cuba. Se brindan argumentos para la presentación y justificación del problema, a través de la utilización de instrumentos empíricos y la revisión bibliográfica. Se expone la brecha teórica y los logros e insuficiencias en la práctica educativa para desarrollar un enfoque intercultural en la enseñanza de ciencias y su importancia en condiciones rurales. Se realiza el tratamiento teórico-conceptual de variables fundamentales como educación rural, interculturalidad, educación intercultural y educación intercultural de ciencias. Con el mismo se consiguió algunas ideas (in) conclusas, como por ejemplo que la labor educativa en la escuela rural cubana, puede generar presupuestos interculturales que permitan una enseñanza de las ciencias más afines con la realidad de los estudiantes. Es preciso que nos acerquemos más a la realidad de los sujetos protagónicos del proceso docente-educativo, con la filosofía de su mundo. Es una condición básica para la concientización y que estudiantes y profesores sean sujetos activos, transformadores y críticos de su educación, de su historia. Mismo que la educación cubana trabaja por el fomento de la interculturalidad se muestra insuficiente las herramientas docentes y metodológicas que permitan caminar de la mano la interculturalidad y la enseñanza de ciencias en el contexto de la educación rural en Cuba. Se hace necesario promover lógicas de educación intercultural en la enseñanza de ciencias a partir del contexto de la educación rural cubana.
