Teaching in the digital age: educational environments enriched by technology and simulators

Abstract
The research is developed with the objective of developing, from a sociocultural orientation perspective, a pedagogical model that ponders the transformative potential of the teacher in virtual environments for a greater effectiveness of student learning. Methods used, a mixed methodological approach is assumed. At a quantitative level, the survey was used as a technique and at a qualitative level the technique of focus groups. The investigation begins with the identification of those characteristic elements of the teacher's role in these learning spaces. Subsequently, it is proposed, from a perspective of sociocultural orientation and through the use of theoretical modeling, a pedagogical model that allows channeling the transformative potential of the teacher in this environment. Results, the pedagogical model reveals those essential elements that require the attention of the teacher in these educational environments and conditions the dynamics of the components of the teaching process so that the student advances in his training process.

Resumen
La investigación se desarrolla con el objetivo de elaborar, desde una perspectiva de orientación socio-cultural, un modelo pedagógico que pondere el potencial transformador del profesor en los entornos virtuales para una mayor efectividad del aprendizaje de los alumnos. Métodos empleados, se asume un enfoque metodológico mixto. A nivel cuantitativo, se utilizó como técnica la encuesta y a nivel cualitativo la técnica de grupos focales. La investigación inicia con la identificación de aquellos elementos característicos del papel del profesor en estos espacios de aprendizaje. Posteriormente, se plantea, desde una perspectiva de orientación socio-cultural y mediante el empleo del modelado teórico, un modelo pedagógico que permite canalizar el potencial transformador del profesor en este entorno. Resultados, el modelo pedagógico revela aquellos elementos esenciales que requieren la atención del profesor en estos ambientes educativos y condiciona la dinámica de los componentes de proceso docente para que el alumno avance en su proceso formativo.
