Simposio Internacional “Desarrollo Humano, Equidad y Justicia Social"
The gender category has a historical construction from different social positions, in which various criteria are constructed when conceptualizing it as feminine and masculine nature, among others, which are limited by the stereotypes that are used by rigid forms of discipline that encompass all the spaces of social life. This article makes a theoretical review of the gender category within philosophy. It begins with a review of the historical framework and how it has had a direct impact in subsequent years. The work also makes a journey through what it means and the implications that the gender perspective has in society: acquisition of a new awareness of reality and new frameworks of interpretation.
La categoría género tiene una construcción histórica desde diferentes posiciones sociales, en la que se construyen diversos criterios al conceptualizar la misma como naturaleza femenina y masculina, entre otros, que están limitados por los estereotipos que se establecen por formas de disciplina rígidas que abarcan todos los espacios de la vida social. El presente artículo realiza una revisión teórica de la categoría género dentro de la filosofía. Comienza con un repaso al entramado histórico y cómo éste ha tenido una incidencia directa en los años posteriores. El trabajo también hace un recorrido por lo que significa y las implicaciones que tiene la perspectiva de género en la sociedad: adquisición de una nueva conciencia de la realidad y de nuevos marcos de interpretación.
