Social support for the pedagogical professional orientation of pre-university

ABSTRACT

Social support for the pedagogical professional orientation of pre-university teenagers constitutes a challenge for the social and pedagogical sciences given the alarming decrease in the number of teachers in Basic Secondary, Pre-university, Technical-Professional Education and pedagogical schools in different municipalities and Cuban provinces. That reality deserves to be transformed. The objective of the article is to carry out a bibliographic and documentary review on the subject of Social support and Professional Pedagogical Guidance in pre-university teenagers. The consultations on the subject were made in digital data sources in Web of Science, Scopus, EBSCO, PubMed (search engine), SciELO, DOAJ and Redalyc, with an emphasis on original articles and systematic reviews. The following keywords were used in English and Spanish: Social Support, Professional Pedagogical Guidance, teenagers, pre-university. It was found that the main form of support is informative and the orientation carried out by the school is reduced to providing information to students about various careers. It is concluded that in the face of the necessary measures of social isolation taken by the global emergency of the COVID 19 pandemic, timely actions of social support should be generated for professional pedagogical guidance combining different types of support, informational, instrumental, emotional and different types of massive activities and individual to guarantee the quality of educational services in Cuba.

RESUMEN

El apoyo social para la orientación profesional pedagógica de adolescentes de preuniversitario constituye un reto para las ciencias sociales y pedagógicas dado el alarmante decrecimiento de la cifra de maestros en la Secundaria Básica, el Preuniversitario, la Enseñanza Técnica- Profesional y las Escuelas pedagógicas en diferentes municipios y provincias cubanas. Esa realidad amerita ser transformada. El objetivo del artículo es realizar una revisión bibliográfica y documental sobre el tema del apoyo Social y la Orientación Profesional Pedagógica en adolescentes de preuniversitario. Las consultas sobre el tema se realizaron en fuentes de datos digitales en Web of Science, Scopus, EBSCO, PubMed (buscador), SciELO, DOAJ y Redalyc, con énfasis en artículos originales y revisiones sistemáticas. Se utilizaron, en inglés y español, las siguientes palabras claves: Apoyo Social, Orientación Profesional Pedagógica, adolescentes, preuniversitario. Se obtuvo que la principal forma de apoyo es el informativo y la orientación realizada por la escuela se reduce brindar información a los estudiantes sobre diversas carreras. Se concluye que ante las necesarias medidas de aislamiento social tomadas por la emergencia global de la pandemia COVID 19 se deben generar acciones oportunas de apoyo social para la orientación profesional pedagógica combinando diferentes tipos de apoyo, informativo, instrumental, emocional y diferentes tipos de actividades masivas e individuales para garantizar la calidad de los servicios educativos en Cuba.
