Sociopsychological factors that characterize the flow of Cuban youth abroad. 2019-2021.

In the last years the migration in Cuba has been mostly represented by young people, that which has impacted in the economy, the demography, the family dynamics and the individuals in particular. The present report corresponds to the results obtained in the licentiate thesis, in the Ability of Psychology of the University of the Havana. The general objective consisted on describing the elements of the identity and the characteristic future projects of the Cuban youths that conform the flow of migrants toward the exterior. A qualitative design was used and they were used technical as questionnaires, interviews, association free of words, among others. The sample was selected by the technique of the ball of snow and it was composed by a total of 13 youths that you/they emigrated in the period from 2019 to 2021.
The obtained results demonstrated the existence of common elements in the identity of the youths that you/they transcended to the residence territories in the destination countries and based on necessities and problems you tune, as the necessity of development professional, the impact of the economic inequalities, the access to the technologies, and the distrust in the government actors in the solution of daily problems of the current Cuban society. In a same way they were differences among the youths that emigrated toward countries of America of the North, Latin America and the Caribbean with regard to those that reside at the moment in countries of Eurasia, being evidenced in this second group a bigger indifference with regard to the traditions and Cuban culture.

En los últimos años la migración en Cuba ha estado mayormente representada por personas jóvenes, lo cual ha impactado en la economía, la demografía, las dinámicas familiares y los individuos en particular. La presente ponencia corresponde a los resultados obtenidos en la tesis de licenciatura, en la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de la Habana. El objetivo general consistió en describir los elementos de la identidad y los proyectos futuros característicos de los jóvenes cubanos que conforman el flujo de migrantes hacia el exterior. Se empleó un diseño cualitativo y se utilizaron técnicas como cuestionarios, entrevistas semiestructuradas, asociación libre de palabras, entre otras. La muestra fue seleccionada por la técnica de la bola de nieve y estuvo compuesta por un total de 13 jóvenes que emigraron en el período de 2019 a 2021.
Los resultados obtenidos demostraron la existencia de elementos identitarios comunes entre los jóvenes, que transcendían a los territorios de residencia en los países de destino y cuyo sustrato eran necesidades y problemas, como la necesidad de superación profesional, el impacto de las desigualdades económicas, el acceso a las tecnologías, y la desconfianza en los actores gubernamentales en la solución de problemas cotidianos de la sociedad cubana actual. De igual modo se encontraron diferencias entre los jóvenes que emigraron hacia países de América del Norte, Latinoamérica y el Caribe con respecto a los que residen actualmente en países de Europa y Asia, evidenciándose en este segundo grupo un mayor desapego con respecto a las tradiciones y cultura cubanas.
