Simposio Internacional “Desarrollo Humano, Equidad y Justicia Social"
The research aims to unveil the subjective configuration of the COVID-19 from the experience of Rhythmic Gymnastics athletes of the School of Sports Initiation of Cienfuegos. The research followed a constructive interpretative qualitative approach and for the selection of the sample, a convenience strategy was used. The information was obtained by means of the qualitative questionnaire of social perception of COVID-19. The main results reveal a negative significance of the pandemic as an epidemiological phenomenon, from the point of view of its definition and consequences, coping and protective measures, as well as the psychological discomfort experienced. The needs, fears and discomforts are mainly expressed around sports and study activities. The demands for help expressed are based on actions of emotional, instrumental and informational support.
La investigación pretende develar la configuración subjetiva de la COVID-19 a partir de la experiencia de atletas de Gimnasia Rítmica de la Escuela de Iniciación Deportiva de Cienfuegos. La investigación siguió un enfoque cualitativo constructivo interpretativo y para la selección de la muestra se empleó una estrategia por conveniencia. La información se obtuvo mediante el cuestionario cualitativo de percepción social de la COVID- 19. Los principales resultados revelan una significación negativa de la pandemia como fenómeno epidemiológico, desde el referente de su definición y consecuencias, el enfrentamiento y las medidas de protección, así como de los malestares psicológicos vividos. Las necesidades, temores y malestares se expresan principalmente en torno a la actividad deportiva y la actividad de estudio. Las demandas de ayuda expresadas se basan en acciones de apoyo emocional, instrumental e informacional.
