Simposio Internacional “Desarrollo Humano, Equidad y Justicia Social"
The collapse of the Soviet socialist system as a historical event not only evidenced the errors of this historical form of socialist construction (crisis of political forms) but also showed the limits of the type of thought of the Marxism-Leninism form. This led to the crisis of Marxism on an international scale which would also affect Cuba. The questions of order, which expressed the contradiction of the time, are defined based on whether Marxism as a theory was really in crisis or were the Marxists who could not live up to its reality and which Marxism was in crisis. In the Villa Clara region this debate was manifested through an intellectual nucleus of philosophy professors gathered in the Research Group of Cuban and Latin American Thought led by Pablo Guadarrama. The result of the same is constituted by the doctoral theses of several of its members. Although these do not have as their object of study the crisis of Marxism resulting from the Soviet collapse, they do address the question through the study of currents of contemporary Latin American thought, including Marxism itself.
El derrumbe del sistema socialista soviético como acontecimiento histórico no solo evidenció los errores de esta forma histórica de construcción socialista (crisis de las formas políticas) sino que mostró los límites del tipo de pensamiento de la forma marxismo-leninismo. Esto conllevó a la crisis del marxismo a escala internacional la cual afectaría también a Cuba. Las preguntas de orden, que expresaban la contradicción de la época, quedan definidas a partir de si estaba en crisis realmente el marxismo como teoría o eran los marxistas que no pudieron estar a la altura de su realidad y qué marxismo estaba en crisis. En la región villaclareña este debate se manifestó a través de un núcleo intelectual de profesores de filosofía reunidos en el Grupo de Investigación del Pensamiento Cubano y Latinoamericano liderado por Pablo Guadarrama. Resultado del mismo lo constituyen las tesis doctorales de varios de sus miembros. Aunque estas no tienen como objeto de estudio particularmente la crisis del marxismo resultante del derrumbe soviético, sí abordan la cuestión a través del estudio de corrientes del pensamiento latinoamericano contemporáneo, incluida el propio marxismo.
