This paper presents a didactic procedure for the development of experimental and investigative skills in students of the Chemistry career, with the aim of developing these skills, the General Chemistry laboratory practices are perfected by introducing elements of the investigative method in the process. As empirical research methods, systematic observation, interviews with teachers and students and the analysis of the governing documents of the teaching-learning process of the General Chemistry subject in the Chemistry career were used. The proposed didactic procedure is facilitated through a system of experimental tasks which favors the approach to the investigative activity and the development of knowledge and experimental and investigative skills in the students of the Chemistry career. In the analysis of the experimental tasks system in which interrelationships of the experimental and investigative didactic methods with the content methods are established, which are facilitated through the solution method of the experimental tasks, it is evident that the proposal turns out to be flexible and applicable to the General Chemistry subject, since it allows the development of experimental and investigative skills, which is essential in the scientific training of students. This study represents an advance in the field of didactics, since it favors the remodeling of the teaching-learning method of laboratory practices, the development of experimental and investigative skills, and the scientific training of Chemistry students.
